But one problem that is being presented is that in the areas where the disease is widespread, there are delays from municipalities in determining the location where extermination or burial is carried out, he told RTK.
The Commission on Environment, Food, Agriculture, Planning, and Development has also sent him letters AUV to report more after the animal tuberculosis case.
Commission Chairman Victory Pacolli said that as a commission, they will engage for the affected farmers to compensate.
We've been informed of the farmers about the problem presented, where we've sent AUV e-mails to get information about when the cases were presented, what are the measures, compensations and innovations. We'll monitor AUV's work if everything's okay. We as a commission will do everything we can to compensate farmers”, she said.
But AUV stressed that in this case all affected farmers will be compensated without exception, and at the same time the costs of annihilation and burial will be covered.
Kosovo's National Institute of Public Health, says tuberculosis as infectious diseases can spread from animal to human, but these cases are far less rare than cases spread by person to person.
According to ICHPK, the most common form of tuberculosis carried by animals in humans is tuberculosis bovin (Mycobacterium bovis), which is usually found in cows, but can also affect other animals like goats and pigs.
The infection can occur when people consume raw milk or other products from infected animals or through close contact with infected animals.
TB disease in cattle is a present disease in the country and the region. And the annual national programme for monitoring, controlling and rooting out animal infectious diseases for 2024 in Kosovo began in July this year.
