Apple AirPods' new function can help people with hearing loss

According to Apple, the functions of the Hearing Test and Aid “are expected to receive marketing authorization from global health authorities soon and will be available this autumn in more than 100 countries and regions, including the US, Germany and Japan”.

These include numerous European countries, such as Denmark, Finland, Austria, Hungary, Greece, Ireland and Poland, among other things.

Euronews Health has contacted Apple to confirm when AirPods will be available in these countries, but did not receive an answer immediately. They've already been authorized to the U.S.

The sound device function will be available to models AirPods Pro 2 and requires an iPhone or iPad to configure it.
