Walk through the city and be bombarded with ads. The same is true for the direction of a car, where “attacks” from advertising boards designed so attractively on the side of the road.
If you turn on your phone, computer, or TV, a similar situation awaits you. So why not make your car another advertising site?
It seems that's exactly what someone at Ford thought, which may soon start displaying personal ads in the info-aggressive systems of future models.
In February 2023, Ford applied for a technology license for such a US system.
Recently, that license has been published and shows the possibility of showing advertising on the screen of the vehicle information system.
But that's not enough to stop with the system, and it can play ads on car speakers and adapt ads based on travel routes, historical data collected about the driver, and even passenger conversations inside the automobile.
Speaking of Auto News, ABI Research analyst Abu Miah expressed concern that advertising may cause concern because automotive owners may feel that privacy is being violated, which may lead to a negative perception of the brand.
Ford has not yet confirmed whether the technology described will actually be applied to production models. /Telegraphy/
