The United States warned Iran from this meeting not to attack the United States and Israel.
Our “Our actions are protective”, American Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Grenfield said. “Allow me to be clear: the Iranian regime will be held responsible for its actions. We seriously warn Iran and its close groups not to take action against the United States or against Israel,” said.
She said the Security Council should condemn Iran's attack and impose serious “consequences to Iran's Revolutionary Watch Tower for its actions.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres called for the immediate interruption of escalation and exchange of attacks, which according to him are bringing Middle Eastern people “to the abyss”.
