USA: Close to 8,000 Korean troops are bordering Ukraine

The United States said on October 31st that they have information that close to 8,000 North Korean soldiers are now in the Russian region of Kursk, near the Ukrainian border, and Russia “synon” to dislodge them on the battlefield against Ukrainian forces. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the US expects troops to be sent to the front line in the coming days. He reiterated that they would become legal military “ccaces” if deployed.
The review was at the top of the agenda as Blinken and US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin met with South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul, and Defence Secretary Kim Jong-hyun.
Russia has been handling North Korean troops for the use of artillery, drones and for basic infantry operations, “suggesting it aims to use these forces in front line operations”, Blinken said.
One of the reasons Russia is using North Korean troops is because it is desperate. [Russian President Vladimir] Putin is increasingly sending more and more Russians to the murderous war in Ukraine”, Blinken said.
Blinken said Putin is turning his eyes to North Korean troops “and that's the clear signal of weakness”.
He added that Russia is suffering about 1,200 casualties a day east of Ukraine, more since the war began in 2022.
Austin called the dislocation of North Korean troops and the testing of an intercstinctical ballistic missile from gynian earlier in October 31st as <x0).
Earlier in the day, North Korea said it has tested one of its newest and most powerful missiles to strengthen its nuclear prevention.
Following this test, the U.S., South Korea and Japan issued a joint statement condemning the testing and saying it presents “flagrant violation” of a set of UN Security Council resolutions.
