The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and innovation, taking advantage of the recent cases of self-insulting minor girls as a result of influence by the TikTok platform, has been addressed today through a letter of all municipalities in the Republic of Kosovo to recall the necessity for implementing child protection policies so that children can grow safely and protect from harmful circumstances for their development.
THE map of policies has interacted with other instances in the phase of drafting the Law for the Protection of Children and Sublaws that result from this law.
“In line with the Child Protection Law, there has been a draft of the Children's Protection Policy at Pre-university Education, which aims at creating a secure environment for all children and all institutions of public and private pre-university education in Kosovo, establishing principles and rules that should be respected. MASTTI has demanded that this document be shared with all school principals, with the suggestion being given to the staff of educational and educational institutions to read, understand and sign its” declaration, Klankosova broadcast.
The MASTI staff is currently holding information sessions with municipalities concerning this document. So far, hearings have been conducted in: Peja, Gjakova, Mitrovica, Kline, Pristina, and will continue these days in municipalities: Lipjan? Entrance, Fushe Kosovo, Gracanica, Obilic, Kamenica, Rahovec, Suhareka, Vushtrri, Istog, until we cover all, including with joint tables”.
“Through defence education, our educational and educational institutions, equip children and young people for good and sound behavior, at any level of circumstances, and avoid conflict and risks, including virtual and real. Specifically, for the aspects of internet protection, MASTI has drafted policies, including administrative, extenuating and editorial guidelines. MASTI has drafted the package of manuals “internet trip” (2 student guides, 1 for teaching and 1 for parents), with which alternatives to internet use are provided in a constructive and responsible way, addressing thismatic approach with intercurrative, extracurrial and electoral teaching”.
“MASTTI has shared these materials with directors and educators, as well as trained quality coordinates for their use, while this year it has finalised two guidelines for protecting the child on the Internet (Cate 1012 and pre-school educators). The Ministry of Education has also consistently organised awareness campaigns for online security, in order for schools to promote safe use of the internet (at MASCTI request), a secure Internet Day is marked annually with varied awareness activities)”.
“Mby these topics (the education context), proactive access is required by all educational and educational staff, both in prevention, identification and in reporting and reference cases in need of protection and treatment. Given the important role of psychologists and teachers in schools, MASTI has also shared the budget for more than 500 positions for psychologists and professors, for which we also appeal to municipalities as soon as they announce contests”.
MASTTI requires the cooperation and attention of municipalities in order to implement the common policies successfully, to the benefit of our children.
