PDK Parliamentary Group chief Abelard Tahiri has criticised Kosovo Government for the water of Badovci Lake.

He has suggested that several weeks have passed that a large part of the capital's neighborhoods cannot use for drinking or cooking the water coming from this lake and that the government does not deal with the issue.

In his account in “Facebook”, Tahiri wrote that the government does not address this issue because, according to him, there are no material benefits.

“> Weeks have passed since a large part of the capital's neighbourhoods cannot be used for drink or cooking from Lake Badovci. It is the second time within this year that Pristina citizens face such a problem. The management of drinking water in Kosovo is the government's responsibility. But have you heard any Kosovo government officials address the issue? Normally not, because it requires competence on this subject, and there is little possibility for millions of benefits”, Tahiri wrote.

According to him, the government only receives the pardon of companies' debts for water storage.

But when it comes to pardoning water exploitation debts from some irresponsible companies that have not carried out their obligations to the state, you find there a strong presence of officials and ministers of this government. Abusive water companies are owed over 11m euros known so far, while allegedly more than 20m euros. Meanwhile, over 150,000 Pristina citizens are left without drinking water. And while Pristina citizens remain free of drinking water because of the Mangani, they buy water from companies whose government has forgiven over 11m euros in debt”, Tahiri wrote.
