Police have made sure Ilir Meta doesn't appear in front of the cameras, but Meta has been seen surrounded by police in the JKKO parking lot, reports the Panorama newspaper. MP Monica Grande, former wife of Meta, is expected to appear there.
The country's former president and chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, was arrested Monday at noon at the order of the SPACE.
He is accused of corruption, money laundering, and hiding property.
