It's been more than a month when a student A.D. doesn't follow up on high school “Bedri Peyan” in Pec.
The 18-year-old was expelled for her coverage.
Kosovo Peace Centre Executive Director Labinot Maliqi through a long post at “Facebook” indicated that the student's parent has given him the news that the student will return to school today to continue his regular teaching.
She also stressed that A.D. will be the first student in high school history “Bedri Peyan” to be allowed to hold the cover.
Below, you have a full post without interference:
After the announcement of the parent of the student A.D., giving me the long-awaited news, the corresponding confirmation also came to me from the school principal “Bedri Peyan” in Pec that the student removed from school due to the cover on September 2nd will return to her bank today to follow the regular class. This student will be the first in the history of this high school to be allowed to hold the cover. Let this be the last case of our girls leaving school because of the cover.
After the support intervention the Ministry of Education made for the return of this student to school in a covering, the institution itself convinced that such a ban is contrary to the Constitution of Kosovo, the Law for Education and the European Convention on Human Rights, there is no longer any point in continuing stops for “The Bar of the Religious Unit” in high schools, formerly in the Administrative Guide.
So I'm looking for the Minister of Education, Mrs. Arberie Nagavci, who stops in word to abolish or review it as soon as possible, explains that the covering is not a religious uniform, and as such, it should not be an obstacle for girls to have equal access to education.
Meanwhile, the director of DKA's in the Pec Community, Mr. Naser Gegaj, as well as high school director “Beri Peyan,” Musa Nikqi, the student A.D. must ask for public forgiveness, which she left school consciously preventing her from access to education. ”
