In his regular report, which is to be discussed at the UN Security Council on October 30th, he has stated that the unilateral “action, such as closing Belgrade-funded institutions, restricting the flow of goods and announcing the opening of the bridge over Iber, increases tensions.
The “Atmosphere in northern Kosovo is still tense, with the possibility of contagion still present. I call on all sides to reiterate their commitment to dialogue with the European Union's mediation and to fully implement existing agreements”, Guterres said in the regular six-month report on the situation in Kosovo.
He warned that these <x0ndre tensions and reduce trust among communities and undermine communities and institutions”.
It is of crucial importance that political leaders' movements comply with the needs and rights of all communities”, Guterres said.
Guterres also said that a serious <x0 security incident in Banjsk on September 23rd last year is an indication of the need for all parties to co-operate in seeking justice and that clarifying such incidents is of key importance for restoring trust”.
