Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, at a news conference on 14,10.2024, after the end of the Berlin Summit, has spoken about German Chancellor Olaf Schoz's request for a new dynamic in Kosovo dialogue Serbia.
Kurti said Kosovo further insists the handover of Milan Radojici and the terrorist group for the attack on Zvecan Banjska.
“We are waiting for the new European Commission to start with new dynamics, and for that reason we are optimistic. Further, we insist that chief criminal Milan Radoicci who killed our Sergeant Africa Bulnjak, but that his paramilitary group of terrorists currently in the Kosovo State Prosecutor's indictment” has said.
Tutu Kurti said she wants former Serbian Prime Minister Anna Bernabiq's letter to be withdrawn.
The prime minister said he insists that whenever the dialogue is mentioned, the Basic Agreement and the Ancess of implementing the agreements agreed in 2023 will also be mentioned.
“We demand that that letter from former Prime Minister Bernabiq withdraw, since with that letter addressed to 27 European sales, it has been withdrawn from the agreement saying it does not respect Kosovo's territorial integrity and what we agreed on, the Bazic Agreement and the Annex of Implementation to be signed, because the signing is legal guarantee and steadfast evidence of goodwill between the parties. We insist on this, and whenever we talk about dialogue I insist that the Basic Agreement be mentioned. So the dialogue has succeeded in success is called the Basic Agreement with the Implementation Annex. We need to implement that deal” -- he said further.
Speaking about how badly they are impacting regional co-operation the conflicts of the past, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz cited the case of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
Scholz said the “dialog for normalisation between Kosovo and Serbia is not going satisfactory”.
“I stressed for both partners that they should fully implement the pledges made. This is important for citizens and for the future of these two countries in the European Union”- he said at the news conference after the Berlin Process Summit ended.
During the Berlin Summit, six leaders of Western Balkan states have signed, among other things, a new action plan for the joint regional market (CRM) for the period 2025-2028, and a new mobile agreement, enabling equal access for students in the region to accredited institutions of higher education.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said an example proving they have contributed to facilitating the lives of people in the Western Balkans is the Action Plan for the newly signed Joint Regional Market.
The Berlin Process was launched in 2014 by former German councilwoman Angela Merkel. Prior to that initiative, then European Council President Jean-Claude Juncker had announced épause in EU enlargement. Later, through the Berlin Process, it was the goal for Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina to boost co-operation among themselves to make room in EU institutions./Calco. com
