Rainfalls and warnings of possible floods have mobilised security and emergency institutions within the Pristina municipality.

The director for Security and Emergency in Pristina, Lulzim Fushtica, has said that the intensity of the rainfall is increasing and that they expect to have cases of flooding, but according to him all necessary preparations have been made in this direction.

Fushtica has stated that from the conversations and information they have from the Kosovo Hydrometeorological Institute today, tomorrow, and the next day, there are intense cases that have been largely warned about the western part of Kosovo, but will include other parts and even the capital, but in smaller intensity.

“I hope we don't have cases like in Bosnia and Herzegovina, we've all made preparations. From today we have functional Emergency Staff. I've been in contact with all the representatives who are part of the staff, we've sent instructions to engage the care teams to be in custody 24/7, but when we have torrential rains of rain unfortunately no one will ever be prepared on such cases as”, he stressed, for RTK.

Fushtica said that the Emergency Operations Centre operates 24 hours per 7 days of the week, and in such cases the number of officials is added, so it has made it known that all citizens can be notified in the numbers of this emergency center. 8,0012233 i n 8,0012244 if they need it.
