Albania's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, has declared that Kosovo cannot find a country more friendly than Turkey.
At a joint conference with Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan, Rama said Kosovo and Serbia should work harder in dialogue.
“has not been a mere official and diplomatic recognition of Kosovo. It has been real-time recognition, in sync with the works of Kosovo's parliament, and when on television before which the entire government was assembled by then the prime minister and today the president, Kosovo deputies have raised their hands to approve independence, Turkey's government has recognised Kosovo.
A friend more undisputed in all days than Turkey and the president, the Republic of Kosovo, is nowhere to be found. We share the concern that the situation between the two countries needs to improve and that dialogue needs to cease. I say this before a personality that the dialogue has had and has the most common tool of work with everyone and always” said Rama.
On the other hand, the Albanian prime minister said the goal of Albania and Turkey is to increase investments and trade between the two countries.
The Turkish president repeats every time we meet that the level of trade exchange between Turkey and Albania does not reflect the potential well between the two countries. Our ambition is to reach the 2 billion-euro ceiling to then open a second phase”, Rama added.
