President Vjosa Osmani has decorated them with the Order of Freedom and the Order of Independence Ambassador William Walker, late Congressman Tom Lantos, Ambassador Daniel Fried, Josh Black and Mira Ricardo, who has thanked them on behalf of the people of Kosovo.
Osmani has said that following their unbroken efforts and steadfast commitment to the peace, freedom and independence of the Republic of Kosovo, they are some of the American allies who have left an inheritance, which will always be remembered with the humility of the people of Kosovo.
Their support has shaped our past, empowers our present and inspires our future! For this contribution, today, at Washington D.C., I had the honor of decorating Osmani on behalf of the Republic of Kosovo with the Order of Freedom and the Order of Independence”.
Former American Ambassador William Walker had served as head of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation Mission in Europe (OSBE) during 1999 and had a documentary on crimes committed at Recak Massacre.
