The country's former president, Fatmir Sejdiu, has deeply accepted the news of the life separation of the first US ambassador to Kosovo, Tina Caidanow.

He writes, among other things, about the work and commitment of Kaidanow in relation to the state of Kosovo.

”Lejmin for the death of First US Ambassador to Kosovo, July 2006-Prill 2008 and April 2008 Ambassador - July 2009, I took it with deep sorrow. With her knowledge, experience, and skill, she left a lasting impression as extremely devoted diplomats in her mission. It came earlier as the head of the US Office in Kosovo in the most sensitive times we had, when we were dealing with the process of negotiations on Kosovo's political status.

The Ambassador Lady was full of energy and fully focused during her mandate helping and supporting Kosovo to achieve major goal -- independence.

It was simple, clear, and direct in public communication.

I had extremely good reports. In its general activities of those years, I can't find any details that she showed signs of fatigue. Of course, it was President Bush's choice and Secretary of State Condeleezza Rice for that Caidanow to be the first US ambassador to Kosovo. Kosovo's society and our state were very fortunate that it was in the right place at the right time.

In this case, I express my condolences and all the citizens of Kosovo who together feel this pain, for the family, her friends in her affairs for the good of freedom and global democracy.

In honour of Ambassador Kaidanow, a passage from my book “of Kosovo ) is congratulating independence and citizenship”, published this year, for those very dynamic and memorable times we experienced in our country.

The first “Lajm that it was nominated for US Ambassador to Kosovo, was the day we discussed the Declaration of Independence, the meeting in which the deputy secretary of State, Rosemarie DiCarlo, and important US personalities were in place. She was very excited because she was promoted to the rank of a powerful ambassador for the first time, which was the highest diplomatic rank and was assigned to the country to be the newest state in Europe.

Its accreditation papers run diplomatic channels, and Kosovo gave its consent.

The unusual in this process, but extremely charming was the event when we were in the United States on the state visit, where the White House meeting with President George W. Bush. After meeting with Secretary of State Condolezza Rice, she invited us to Mrs. Caidanow's appointment ceremony for the Mighty Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Kosovo. This was not common practice. But it was simply a very significant diplomatic event.

At that meeting of diplomats and family members, I also met her parents. I was impressed by their curiosity about Kosovo.

Tina Caidanow's engagement was special. In that context, its commitment to helping the country's stability and stability as an independent and sovereign state stands out. He knew many personalities in Kosovo, whether from public life, political, or other activities respectively.

For its extraordinary contribution, shortly without leaving the Mission in Kosovo, July 2009 Ambassador Caidanow decorated it with the “Medal for Civil Service in Kosovo”.
