Mangane level up in Badoc, I KSHP recommends that water from this lake not be used for drink

The National Institute of Public Health has announced that yesterday their teams have taken 16 samples from an area that is water-fueled by Lake Badoci, after announcing the rise of mangani values, where 15 of them have resulted in overstepping the allowed Manganic standard. IKSHP recommended that [...]
IKSHP recommended that water not be consumed for drinking or used only for personal and environmental hygiene.
The crossings start from the lowest value of 0.0062mg/L to the highest value of 0.250 mg/L.
“The analysis data done and their comparison to preliminary days data as well as experiences from the 2023 situation show that during the duration of this phenomenon, mangan values tend to increase day after day, so I KSHPK for this period recommends that water not be consumed for drink and used as technical water for personal and environmental hygiene”, the report says.
According to Administrative Guide No. 10/2021 “for the quality of water destined for consumption by man”, the rate allowed for Mangan in the water for drink is 0.05 mg/L.
Based on these results, I The KSHP has come up with several recommendations for the “Pristina”:
Control the disinfection process so that the value of the Cl residentul is 0.1-0. 2mg/L, which guarantees the quality of water in bacterological terms and at the same time helps to oxido-reducing processes;
Follow organic pollution (TOC) into lake water and the distribution network;
Implementation of standard procedures for the situation created in all phases of water treatment;
Deploying the distribution network's magic tubes;
Deploying the distribution network allows small segments;
To provide hygienic water for citizens.
“The IKSHPK reports that by the date 02.10.2024 in the results of samples taken under the monitoring plan for drinking water, there were no samples resulting from increased mangani values above the pre-standard (0.05 mg/L) according to Administrative Guide No: 10/2021 “for the quality of water destined for consumption by man<2> ”, it is said at the end of the notification.
With such a situation, Kosovo has faced it last year.
The display of Mangan's “ ” on Lake Badovci is a continuous phenomenon, which occurs mainly at the time of the change of seasons. I KSHP has said this phenomenon in the past year was disturbing because apart from Mangant's added values, it was accompanied with the duration of this phenomenon.
While Mangan is considered a essential nutrients and contributes to many body functions, including the metabolism of amino acids, cholesterol, glucose, and carbs, bone formation, blood clots, and reduced inflammation, values over 50 ⇩/L in drinking water behave as pollutant and have a harmful effect on health, and especially on children by the age of 5.
