Macedonia: The soldiers are fleeing to the United Kingdom alone this year, 6.5% are gone.

Defence Minister Ejup Macedonia reporting to the Commission for Defence and Security was asked about the departure of soldiers from the Kosovo Security Force, said 190 members left this year, but that this trend is not only in Kosovo, but also in countries like the United Kingdom.

“In the United Kingdom this year, 6.5% of the soldiers --” -- said Macedonia.

But, he added, the Defence Ministry “recorded” from new applications, which he said have applied 1,000 and 555 people for 300 positions -- so six for a position.

For this purpose we have asked the directorate of human resources to plan staff maintenance. It's not just driving us. It's also statistical”, he said.

He said the Kosovo Security Force is continuing to be supplied with weapons even this year as in past years “according to state-to-state forms and state-made production”.
