Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has called on the West to sanction all persons he said communicate and co-operate with people on the blacklist in the Western Balkans.
During his party's address to the General Council, the Vetevendosje Movement, Kurti said Serbia should also be conditioned “for current benefits”, reports Radio Free Europe.
“Against the democratic West, in particular the European Union, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, we call on Serbia to condition the actual benefits, not only those to come from the EU, the US and the United Kingdom. Those who cooperate with people on the blacklist in the Balkans should be sanctioned by the US, the EU and the United Kingdom. Those who are members of the Civil Defense Organization and the North Brigade. Otherwise criminals who walk freely, otherwise blacklists, are not effective”, Kurti said.
Civil Protection Organisation” and “North Brigade” were declared terrorist organisations by the Kosovo Government last June.
Kurti said the black list should give “results through sanctioning all those who communicate and co-operate with them”.
He demanded that Kosovo authorities surrender Milan Radojic and members of his group, whom Kosovo accuse of organising the armed attack on Kosovo Police last September.
In Banjska, September 24, 2023, a group of armed Serbs killed a Kosovo police officer. Three Serb attackers were killed during the shootout.
