Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said that “is important that co-operation between EU countries and Serbia does not come at the expense of democracy in the country or security in the Western Balkans”.
“We estimate that France and Germany are making clear to Belgrade that economic co-operation does not mean giving a white check to violate human rights, disturb neighbours and manipulate elections”.
“I am fighting crime that destroys Serbia's northern areas and we have already closed 18 illegal roads from Kosovo to Serbia”, Kurti explained in an interview for Eractiv.
If someone expected me to become prime minister and those illegal ways would continue, then they didn't really know me”, Kurti was quoted as saying.
