Former KSF Food Protection Minister: Risking the Health of Our Soldiers

He said that with the previous contractor, the Defence Ministry “had linked a similar emergency contract over 3 times, for periods of up to six months, worth over 7m euros, based on declared extreme emergency procedures”.
“But Kosovo has not declared a national emergency. Food is not an unexpected emergency. It is something that can be planned with the calendar and with a transparency of”, Quinn said.
He said this situation has created “acre and uncertainty” and reflected “directly on the credibility of the most reliable institution in Kosovo”.
“If powerful military states like the US and the United Kingdom, as well as our neighbouring countries can follow open processes, what could be the motives for Kosovo to act differently?”, Quinn asked.
He urged the Government to avoid this approach, saying this “not only endangers the health of our soldiers, but includes strategic consequences related to our ability to meet international obligations and protect national security”.
Quinn urged the necessary steps “using NATO expertise”.
