General Kadri Kastrati, former commander of the Kosovo Security Force, has spoken about the problem with food supply for the Kosovo Security Force.
In a connection to Skype on the “Balkan Upade” show, he has considered a shameful behaviour by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who has felt extremely ashamed.
According to Kastrati, soldiers should prepare for war, not for cooking food.
I have actually felt extremely bad, because I am one of the people that the Kosovo Armed Forces has conveyed since the Kosovo Liberation Army war. I've been to command structures of this army. These past days, taking news that the military has problems with food supply, I as a former commander have felt extremely ashamed, I have felt terrible. Because we soldiers during the war when we didn't have central or local institutions, when we didn't have support, soldiers we supplied them with food. Leave now when we have the state, we have the government. Kosovo soldiers or officers suffer for food, it is a foolish, a great shame for the state of Kosovo, for Kosovo institutions.
I've been following it over and over and over again, and this is now trying to quote it, and the Minister and the Secretary of Defense, this Ministry's secretary, and I'm telling you the truth, I leave the blame to everyone, because everyone is aware that it has come to this situation, everyone lacks a planning experience that had to be done earlier.
Soldiers should not prepare for the kitchen, soldiers should be preparing for much more advanced missions and for war”, he said.
