Krasniqi for Progress Report 2024: Concernful and Alarming

He has said it is the most negative report our country has ever received.

According to Krasniqi, the messages of the report that Kosovo is being badly governed -- and which remains under sanctions -- are clear.

Krasniqi has further accused the Government of failing, which according to him are deliberate actions, knowingly undertaken by the prime minister and his subordinates.

The European Union's report on Kosovo, for 2024, which has been delivered to the Government and published today, is the most negative report our country has ever received.

The main messages coming out of it are clear:

Kosovo remains under sanctions!

Kosovo is becoming ill-government!

Kosovo is moving back in human rights and freedoms, freedom of expression and of the media, as well as in justice!

Three fundamental pillars on which democratic and developmental state is built and functioned are in stagnation or recession.

Three areas for which the government of the Republic of Kosovo is solely responsible, for which the Democratic Party of Kosovo has constantly raised its voice during these four years.

Unfortunately, the failures of the Government of Kosovo, presented in this report, are not only the result of their non-competability and inadequacy, but are deliberate actions, knowingly undertaken by the prime minister and his subordinates, as means of preserving power. This is a sabotage of the country's development and integration.

The report is disturbing and alert, of which no one enjoys but who requires the attention and response of citizens. The only good news in this middle is that February 9th is approaching, and with it, the end of this government.

Our citizens, our country, deserve better and more. They deserve a responsible Government, which will bring Kosovo back in the right direction. There is no other option!
