Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi has said General Yashari's letter to Defence Minister Ejup Macedonia shows the alarming situation in the Kosovo Army.
Through a writing on the social network Facebook, Krasniqi has said that the government has abstained from obligations to soldiers, and that the army wants only for photographs and propaganda.
General Yasari's “Lerra of General Bashkim sent to the defence minister about the numerous concerns dealing with food services, lack of personnel and sanitation problems, entails an alaramante situation in our army, which requires emergency treatment on the part of the state.
Unfortunately, what is called for to be seriously addressed this issue, the government, has long abstained from its obligations against our soldiers. This government, for the last time, is witnessing that the army only loves it for propaganda and photography and has no interest in the welfare and health of girls and boys who serve their country day and night.
Krasniqi has said that transparency and accountability from the government will be required in the Assembly.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo will not stand back until our soldiers are going through this way. In the Assembly and in any other instance, we will seek transparency and full accountability from the government.
For our soldiers, who through governmental mismanagement are being affected by morality and pride, I have only one prayer: Do not despair! Your commitment is the axis of our country. We're in this together!
