Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, during a speech at the first Kosovo Economic Forum in Paris, has suggested that Kosovo is making massive investments in infrastructure.
From modern highways that connect us to the Balkans to digital projects. We are building the bases for sustainable growth”, it has declared.
According to him, the Kosovo executive is currently planning over 50 infrastructure projects.
“Projects these will reform the transport, environment and energy sectors, demanding an investment of more than 7 billion euros”, it added.
Kurti promised that construction of the Gjilan highway, as well as expanding the magical route for Podujevo and Mitrovica, will be carried out in record time, but neither more than three and a half years of governance from these projects launched by past governments are ending.
The government also has poor balance in capital investments, since about 70 percent of the projects before them for 2023 did not begin.
Meanwhile, in the first six months of this year, the Government of Kosovo made only 21 per cent of capital investments.
For three years budget governance for capital projects was passed on to the procedure.
