IPK starts verifying claims that a Serb citizen was mistreated by police in northern Mitrovica

Kosovo Police Inspectorate investigators have begun to verify allegations of abuse by police in northern Mitrovica over an incident at “Car Lazar” Square. The Police Inspectorate under official duty (ex officio) has begun the process of collecting information and preliminary investigation into claims of abuse by police.
According to official reports, the incident reportedly occurred after midnight (at 3: 00 p.m.), when police arrested and accompanied to the police station a citizen with M.S initials allegedly damaged the property of a private store in the presence of police officials. After the pronunciation of an anti-inference ticket (according to the Law on Public Order and Peace), the same has been released.
The “IPK investigators through a preliminary investigation will verify claims of abuse of the same police during the police action company in this” incident, the IPK report reported. In this case, it has reacted and the Serbian List, where it says this case “is a reflection of Serbia's Serbophobia promoted by Albin Kurti and Jelal Svechla, who see Kosovo's north as an occupied territory where everything is allowed to expel the Serbian people”.
Meanwhile, Petrit Fyza from the North Police Department has denied allegations that police officers have beaten him at the police station. Among other things, he has said that for Subotic claims he has been beaten, he should appear at the police station and inform officials.
