More than one million people have been evacuated, numerous areas have already flooded, sea level is increasing, extreme rainfall, and winds at speeds of 200 miles per hour [200 km] have been recorded.
The hardest hit areas are Naples, Fort Myers and Tampa.

Authorities in Florida said it was too late to evacuate and lead people to shelters
