Haradinaj's grand promise: No pension below 500 euros

Haradinaj said Gashi has handed over the plan for increasing the value of basic pension, which he said could be faced with the state budget. The minimum wage, according to him, will be raised to 500 euros and that the pension of contributors cannot remain below the minimum wage.

Haradinaj has clarified that changes to the Law on Social Schemes will be made, including recognition of the experience of forced evacuations of jobs in the 1990s. In our budgetary projections for 2025-2028, we've seen 50 percent increase in numbers. I also handed the calculations to the president, on the basis of the budget that was envisioned all pension schemes, not only contributions and taxpayers.

The law on contribution to the payers has been set before 15 years, which in the nearest period of time cannot continue this scheme, undermines this status. So we need an intervention in the Law so they can't be conditioned by the 15 years”. “In our calculations the increase is made for all pension schemes, the budget is added, reaching for all pension schemes to 900 million, from the current 608 million to the Kosovo budget.

At the same time, steady growth over the years amounts to 10 percent. So far the projection for the minimum wage is 350 euros, in our plan the minimum wage will be raised for 150 euros, reaching 500. And the pension of taxpayers does not dare to remain under the minimum wage”, Haradinaj has said.
