Alliance for Future of Kosovo leader [ The AAK], Ramush Haradinaj, has said that October 1st marks the historic moment in which the youth and university professors of Pristina became a symbol of resistance to injustice and oppression against Albanians.
Haradinaj via social network post “Facebook” has written that this protest was the launch of a movement for major changes.
October 1st 1997 marks a milestone in which student youth and Pristina University professors became a symbol of resistance to injustice and oppression against Albanians. On that day, they challenged the oppressive regime and demanded fundamental rights, thus lighting the flame of a movement that would lead to major changes. This bold act not only warned a new era, but also strengthened the Albanian people's commitment to fighting for freedom and independence”, Haradinaj wrote.
