Haradinaj meets with Kasanofin, talk about accelerated Kosovo membership in NATO

Haradinaj has thanked the US administration for its commitment and maximum dedication in support of Kosovo.

“In the American State Department, at an open, private and friendly meeting, we discussed political developments in Kosovo with Mr. Alexander Kasanoff, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs. I thanked Mr. Kasanoff, the US administration and the US Embassy in Kosovo for maximum engagement and dedication in support of Kosovo”, Haradinaj has said.

Haradinaj has stressed the need for Kosovo's NATO membership.

“At this meeting, I stressed the need for a long-term contract aimed at accelerating Kosovo membership in NATO, as this is a vital step towards ensuring lasting security and peace in the region”, Haradinaj has indicated.

He has said that since the 1990s, Kosovo's achievements have been made in close partnership with the US.

I considered that American leadership and engagement are necessary for a strategic Kosovo- The US and Kosovo's progress towards Euro-Atlantic integration. Kosovo's achievements, since the 1990s, including the liberation war and the statehood process, have been made in close partnership with the United States. Kosovo's NATO membership should also be a joint victory”, Haradinaj has concluded.
