Yesterday, gold arrived and passed the previous record of $2.771 per ounce and was being traded today for $2,785.
Starting with $2,065, gold has gained approximately 35 percent in value since January.
Strong performance of precious metal is attributed mainly to increasing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and a gradual shift from tight monetary policies.
