Germany's president, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, has told counterpart from Kosovo Vjosa Osmani that they must work to create conditions for membership in the European Union and the Council of Europe.
Steinmeier met with Osman in Berlin on Wednesday.
In a Facebook report by President Steinmeier, Germany is very interested in the stability of the Western Balkans and is counting on Kosovo's aspirations for membership in European organisations.
“German is very interested in the region's stability and supports Kosovo's membership in the European Union and the Council of Europe, the Federal President stressed during the talks. The country must work to create the necessary conditions for this”, the Presidency's announcement in Germany said.
Osman has arrived in Germany since Tuesday. She also met with Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbox.
