United States Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin has said that his country “fulfilled our pledge to co-operate with Israel in its defence”, following the obstruction of about ten missiles from 181 to Iran on Tuesday evening.
“We condemn this cruel act of aggression by Iran, and we urge Iran to stop any further attacks, including those of its pro-terrorist groups”, the senior American official said in a statement, adding that the US “will never hesitate to protect our forces and interests in Middle Law and support the protection of Israel and our partners in the region<433>.
He appreciated the American forces that helped save lives today from Iran's attack and that continue to support Israel's defence and prevent an extensive conflict or escross”, reports the paper. “The Times of Israel”.
