Opposition parties debated scandals and mismanagement at the Kosovo Energy Corporation, but even this time without the presence of parliamentary majority deputies. At the session conducted by Chief Parliamentary Konjufca, who was not present in the past three hearings, the prosecution's investigation into the KEK scandals was requested.

For the fourth time in a row, the seats of parliamentary majority deputies remained empty.
The ruling party, the Vetevendosje Movement, also boycotted today's extraordinary session of parliamentary debate over scandals at the Kosovo Energy Corporation, but this time not even the chief parliament officer Konjufca.
After three shortages in extraordinary sessions, he today appeared in the Assembly to conduct the session. He also received a greeting of irony.

Thank you, Chairman. I'm glad you're here and they gave you permission from Dejona to come today to the 2003 sector, Albana Bytyqi from AAK said.

On behalf of deputies signing the extraordinary session, LDK parliamentary group chief Arben Gashi said Dejona Mihali has been illegally interfering in KEK management. He presented a 7-point resolution through which the investigation into the KEK scandals is required.

Kosovo's “Framework requires competent bodies to continue full and deepening investigations into KEK scandals, including mismanagement of single-source tenders and lack of competition in public procurement... The Assembly requires competent bodies to investigate the intervention of unauthorised persons in KEK management and decision making, especially in terms of granting tenders, energy trade and employment processes”, said Arben Gashi, chief of the LDK parliamentary Group.

PDK Parliamentary Group chief Abelard Tahiri, meanwhile, said there are major abuses in KEK and that the cover of all abuses is Vetevendosje co-ordinator Dejona Mihaili.

The captain of all this abuse is certainly Dejona Mihaili. The Devil tells us when to buy electricity and when to sell electricity. Its famous message with Ergys clearly shows that this corporation or the 600m euros spent by KEK for these years are directed by Dejona Mihali”, Tahiri said.

This session was required that government exhibits, not only, be included in investigations into the situation at KEK.

“The LDK is convinced that beyond Mr. Nagip Krasniqi, investigations should be expanded. Investigations should go beyond, the political level of responsibility should be seen, Minister Rizvanolli, Mrs. Dejona Mihali, to Albin Kurti”, said Driton Selmanaj of LDK.

AAK Parliamentary Group chief Besnik Tahiri said the published wiretaps indicate a direct intervention of informal structures at KEK. According to him, leaving the extraordinary sessions called by the opposition points to the poor position the Vetevendosje Movement has been taking.

“Theme and scandals that at least deserve an answer from those who have earned 50 percent and were totally tired and straight, tired of a people how good, clean and academic they are. And today, you said here, you said here. Neither the majority MP colleagues nor any people of the Government of Kosovo who gave a word of argument or rejected a topic that is a public scandal deserving of response”, he said.

The lack of parliamentary majority in the Assembly was criticised by other opposition deputies.

You're not hiding in a hood, you're in a hood, so they don't have a face today to come face to face”, Bekim Haxhiu from the PDK said.

“He accused Albin Ramush of being evil to the male, but see now you are evil, both men and women are evil themselves because you dare come to face reality... the hole of the 300-groan mouse or what the rat's hole was introduced to the MEPs”, said Time Kadrija - AAK

I want to thank Drita Milak publicly, Doarsa Kica of other MPs who have understood and failed to submit to the dictatorship and idea that you dare not argue in democracy on issues of public interest. This is paradox. This is crazy”, Hakki Abazi, independent MP, said.

After the discussions, in the absence of quorum, no resolution was put to the polls through which investigation of the KEK's abuses and scandals was sought, thus closing hearings.
