“We have met and are in constant contact”, Osmani said February without specifying details.
Osmani has requested detailed report from the KSF commander. So confirmed Bekim Cupina, adviser to President Osman. He also announced that he has invited KSF commander and Defence Minister Ejup Macedonia to the meeting.
He has also invited them to the meeting to discuss this matter further in detail to KSF Commander Lieutenant General Jashari, but also Defence Minister Macedonia. The president engages, within its competencies, in the function of resolving the underlying problem that inevitably affects the operation of KSF, its developmental process, its institutional image and integrity”, Kupina has said.
He also stated that President Osmani has long made the proposal for the state programme for multidimensional support of the KSF, which directly affects the growth of its socio-economic well-being, at once their motive.
However, this programme needs to have budgetary support in the law on the budget of the Republic of Kosovo, which is proposed by the Government and approved in Parliament”, he said.
Kupina said the programme includes several points:
The 7-point program included these elements:
1. Paying extras in wages for risk.
2. Paying custody and overtime.
3. The payment of wages for KSF members during overseas schooling and training (during the entire period of schooling or training, not just for 1 months).
4. Health insurance.
5. The functioning of the military hospital with secondary and medical services.
6. Improving food quality with high health and sanitation standards.
7. Ensure affordable residence for the military and their families.
8. Establishing credit funds for the military.
Kupina said that realising this support programme also affects empowering the operation of the KSF at the time of transition and development with the aim of accomplishing its legal duties and constitutional mission for protecting territorial integrity and state sovereignty.
Over the next few days, after the upcoming meetings with relevant institutions, we can give you more details about this matter”, he added.
Otherwise, the food supply issue at the KSF has been among the main topics of discussion in Kosovo in recent days.
From the Ministry of Defence on Friday said that all barracks of the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) are functional and widespread variety (food) is being served.
While, according to officials of this ministry, the only problem is the small number of technical staff, adding that this will be regulated once the competition for accepting its own professional staff is closed, this competition that has opened and any procedure will be completed in the 45-day term.
