Members of the European Parliament, members of the EU-Albania Commission, will pay a visit to Tirana on 29 October.
Top Channel sources say they will meet with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Parliament Speaker Elisa Spiropali.
It is learned that part of this delegation from Strasbourg will also be the Greek Eurodeput, Fred Beler, the former opposition candidate in the Himara municipality, convicted of corruption in the election.
Greek media have also reported the news. To Vima sees this meeting as a victory for Greek diplomacy, where emphasis is placed on Athens' conditions that Tirana's path of membership runs through Greek minority rights
Once commission members arrive in Tirana, the Commission will be informed by European Union Ambassador Silvio Gonzato, who is participating in EU-Albania membership talks.
Soon after, the meeting with Eddie Rama, which is scheduled to last 45 minutes, follows. Then there will be meetings with representatives of Albanian parties and a lunch from EU Ambassador to Albania to the European House on Pope John Paul's road. Right after that, there will be a meeting with Parliament Speaker Elisa Spiropali and in the days following discussions with the joint EU-Albania commission.
