Kosovo citizens are still being forced to buy essential drugs from their own pocket, as the Ministry of Health is unable to successfully realise sufficient supply in certain municipalities, Periscopi writes.
Although Health Minister Arben Vitita had declared that the “list of essential drugs is up 70-75 per cent”, the figures Periscope has provided from the Kosovo Communist Association show a very different reality.
According to data for this year's 9th month, Skenderaj is at odds with essential drugs.
Not 70%, as Minister Vitita has said, but 50 %s has not been met in Skenderaj. So this municipality has only 27.81 percent.

This has been confirmed for Periscope by the director of the Skenderaj health directorate, Sahin Tahiri, who said that although they applied to the Ministry of Health, most of the articles with reasoning have been lacking and absent.
It is true that the supply of drugs for January-stator period has been supplied with essential medicines 27.81%. Although our requests have been regular, most of our articles have been missing from our demands. The request for supply we have made every time but the answer has been “we lack the” articles, Tahiri told Periscope.
How the process of supplying essential drugs to Kosovo municipalities is going, we have asked the Ministry of Health, but in turn we have received no answers.
