European Commission Director-General (KE) for Enlargement Negotiations Gert Jan Koopman has praised Kosovo for the Reform Agreement, stressing that the small Balkan country could benefit 883m euros from the European Union's Growth Plan (BE).
The adoption of the Reform Agreement for Kosovo will allow it to unlock 883m euros, bring in socioeconomic convergence and implement EU-oriented reforms”, Koopman wrote.
During yesterday's visit to Pristina, EC President Ursula Von der Leyen also praised Kosovo in the work it has done in the reform agenda of the European Union's Growth Plan, saying that by the end of the year, Kosovo is expected to benefit 60m euros from this package.
The growth plan for the Western Balkans is designed to bring the economies of the region closer to our common market and integrate into our common market. We know that the great success of enlargement is not only political agreements and the sharing of values, but it is also the economic prosperity we have seen among the states that have joined the EU”, said Von der Leyeen.
