Kosovo police have shut down today the illegal office of the Sqaheraj municipality operating in northern Mitrovica.

After closing the police have provided details.

This illegal office was in the vicinity of the Regional Police Directorate.

“Today, with the date 16,10.2024, police officials while patrolling in the vicinity of the police facility in DRP-Mitrovica North, have observed strangers attending an office, where during the verification of the person responsible has been identified as operating as part of the illegal structures and is responsible for the Weekend municipality. The competent prosecutor, who has ordered material evidence found in this office to be seized and the office closed while responsible persons are interviewed.”, said the police report.

According to the prosecutor's authorisation, police are conducting relevant actions to interview identified persons and examine material evidence.
