According to the announcement, the value of banned gold is over 59 thousand euros.

“During the search of travellers, images of stageers showed indicators for undeclared goods within a bag. After the opening of the bag, hidden goods were discovered along with relevant documentation accompanying the goods. After a detailed assessment by the Kosovo Customs, it was found that the real value of banned gold is 59,294.12 $”, the report said.

The prosecutor has been notified.

“Rasti is being dealt with in close co-operation with the Kosovo Customs Investigation Sector and the State Prosecutor, to analyse all details and take appropriate legal action against responsible individuals. Through continued raids and co-operation with relevant institutions, Kosovo Customs plays a key role in protecting the integrity of Kosovo's borders and market”, said further in the report.
