In past elections this number was mostly up to 5 candidates for MPs from a political subject, but this has been changed during electoral reform completed by the Kosovo Assembly in the summer of 2023.
This legal change has been presented through a video by CEC spokesman Valmir Elez, who has explained in detail how the ballot is completed.
According to the CEC, it is necessary for voters to choose only one political subject, since if they chose more than one, then the ballot would be invalid.
The voting method is this: First, on the left side of the ballot, the voter must choose only one political subject, and secondly, on the right side of the ballot, the voter can elect up to 10 candidates for deputies of that political subject. So, vote only one political subject and as many as 10 candidates for deputies”, Elez explained.
