A fraud targeting Gmail account holders has made social networking headlines.
Microsoft Solutions consultant Sam Mitrovic could have been the victim, as explained in a post detailing what happened to him.
He received an announcement asking him to approve an effort to recover the Gmail account he did not launch.
A week later, approximately the same hour of the day, Mitrovic received a second notice asking him to approve an attempt to recover the Gmail account, which he again refused to approve.
And once again, after 40 minutes he got a phone call, writes the foreign media, follows the telegram.
This time, he found himself talking to an American, even though the call originated in Australia.
The man on the other side of the phone told him he had some suspicious activity in his account.
During the phone conversation, Mitrovic requested the phone number from which the call came and it appeared as a legitimate Google issue in Australia.
