An astronaut NASA was sent to the hospital for an undiscovered medical problem after returning from a nearly eight-month stay in the space station, prolonged by problems of the Boeing capsule and Hurricane Milton, the space agency said Friday.
A SpaceX capsule carrying three Americans and a Russian parachuted before dawn into the Gulf of Mexico, off the coast of Florida, after breaking off from the International Space Station in the middle of the week. The capsule was set up on the recovery ship, where four astronauts had routine medical checks.
Right after the crash, an astronaut of NASA had a “medical question” and the crew were taken to a hospital in Pensacola, Florida, for additional assessment “from a great care”, the space agency said in a statement.
Astronaut, which was not identified, was in stable condition and remained in hospital as a “precaution”, NASA said.
