Arben Gashi seeks deepening investigation into Dejona Mihali's KEK interventions

The chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo parliamentary group spoke first at the extraordinary session, where it is discussing “scandals and mismanagement at the Kosovo Energy Corporation”.
He cited “scandales with single-source tenders and lack of competition in public procurement at KEK”, “share of electricity”, which said “has raised major concerns”.
“Reports show that KEK has linked unfriendly contracts that have damaged corporate financial stability”, Gashi said.
Gashi cited the committee co-ordinator in the Vetevenation Movement, Dejona Mihali, for which he asked for <x0 full-time”, for its role and influence in KEK.
A further issue to be discussed and the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo should take its position is the inclusion of the person called Dejona Mihali and illegal interventions in KEK, including illegal employment”, he said.
Gashi proposed a resolution that includes demanding that competent <x0organs continue full and deepening investigations into KEK scandals, including mismanagement of single-source tenders and lack of competition in public procurement”.
“The Government's Parliament to report on electricity trading contracts during 2001-2024, including favourable conditions for third parties and financial impact on public finances”, he said.
Gashi said Mihali “has illegally intervened in KEK management by influencing tenders to trade electricity, as well as triggering a wave of illegal employment for which criminal speculation by the Democratic League of Kosovo”.
