Xhaferi: Today the dream is fulfilled for the first Albanian prime minister, and I promise the fulfillment of the dream for Advanced RMV

Northern Macedonia's first Albanian prime minister, Talat Xhaferi, said the dream was fulfilled today.

Xhaferi will lead the technical government in Skopje until the next government's vote, due to be out of the May 8th parliamentary elections. He wrote on Facebook that he also promises the fulfillment of the dream of North Macedonia's progress.

The dream of the first Albanian prime minister is fulfilled today! Today I promise we will also fulfill the dream of the Republic of advanced, developed, democratic and European North Macedonia! The states where young people want to go back, where my generation will see their grandchildren grow up, and older ones will be proud that investment in citizenship has worked!

“Urim Government!”, he added.

Xhaferi was elected prime minister of northern Macedonia with 65 votes for and three against.

In the country, Xhaferi said he would act responsibly and that he would be transparent and accountable to citizens.

Xhaferi said that “will not allow us to deviate”, from the road and from the priorities agreed on with coalition partners, while citing the path to integration into the European Union.

As he himself said, the technical government's top priority will be “preparation for the organisation of free and democratic elections”.

Xhaferi said, among other things, that the implementation of the principles of the agreements for interethnic relations “will continue, while further talking about strategic state priorities.

The rule of law, fighting corruption and organised crime, remains the government's central and strategic policy”, he said.

We will implement the processes launched for rounding up local legislation regarding the institutional processes of our strategic partner ♫ the United States for determining and sanctioning persons associated with crime and corruption”, Xhaferi said.
