Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq's son, Danilo, who has no official position, is among the guest honours in “East Sarajevo”, as Serbs call the village of Pale in the vicinity of Sarajevo, on the Day of Republika Srpska, which was three times declared anti-religious by the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As reports N1 from Sarajevo, Aleksandar Vuciq has only come once to celebrate Republika Srpska Day, and the one in 2016, when it was celebrated for the first time.
Neither Anna Brnabiq, who has been participating in the past years, is present this year, but there are Serbian diplomacy chief Ivica Dacic, Minister for Family Care Darija Kisic, and Minister for Labour and Social Policy Nikola Selakovovic.
Republika Srpska celebrates Republika Srpska Day on January 9th, the day the Bosnian and Herzegovina Serbs proclaimed its republic 31 years ago with the intention of secession from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and what followed the bloody war and the genocide that Serbs committed against the non-Serb population in this country.
A ceremonial parade in Pale where police presence has increased has also been warned.
