In addition to aircraft and vehicles, Kosovo citizens have already started to move visa-free to the Schengen area even by bus.

Several buses are packed with travelers Monday and Tuesday at the bus station in Pristina to travel to Europe.

With the removal of the visa regime on 1 January, some citizens have already begun their planned visits to family members of the European Union.

Citizens who have chosen to travel by bus have welcomed visa liberalisation, but stress that ticket prices are high.

Daut Krasniqi expressed satisfaction with free visa-free movement, but adds that the ticket amount for one direction alone has cost about 200 euros.

I've had a lot of fun and I'm very happy, and now people can travel to Europe to see how it is there. What I've seen is about 200 euros of tickets to the letter, but now let's see if it's even cheaper.”

Meanwhile, unlike Krasniqi, citizen Qazim Berisha said the conditions they have set are difficult to deal with

The “we have eagerly anticipated and are satisfied now we go on free, but few have made conditions difficult as they are saying Kosovo's standards on which it will go there. But maybe these visas will make it easier for us, because most go, the person on the outside is helping, sending money, and continuing. Now that I'm following my grandson to Italy, the return ticket is 140 euros”, he said.

Augton Limani's citizen who lives in Italy expressed satisfaction that his family now has the opportunity to visit him there.

We've had a lot of fun, because family will come visit us and it's easier for everything... The tickets are very expensive by airplane, while on buses there are 70 euros”, he stressed.

Granit Veseli from a bus agency said citizens still do not know the rules to travel without visas. He also told of the prices this agency has for travelers travelling across Europe.

For us, it's a little easier to travel without a visa. A little more, we have an obligation to explain to each one what is needed and what documents are needed for travel. The rate, the number of travelers is on the rise, one goes to visit someone who wasn't, but there is an increase in demand...04:13 ticket prices differ from states and cities, the nearest town Trieste is 50 euros”, he said.

Visa liberalisation enables Kosovo citizens, who have biometric passports, to stay up to 90 days within six months in either of the 27 members of the Schengen area.
