The chief of the Parliamentary Group for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Besnik Tahiri, has said that Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe stamps our sustainable path to the EU.
Tahiri has also talked about why Kosovo should be part of this institution.
The current two years of my commitment to the Kosovo delegation as a member of several commissions and participants in political groupings, I say with full responsibility that Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe stamps out our sustainable journey to the EU. During this time, together with colleagues we were active in communication, discussion and argument over why Kosovo should be part of this institution”, Tahiri has said.
He said that on the Committee for Political Affairs and Democracy stressed that the path of Kosovo's institutional construction and the state-building process is unique, in full line with international standards.
“In the Committee from which the rapporteur comes to prepare the statute's report for Kosovo's application for membership in the KiE, I stressed that our independence is irreversible, as is our Euro-Atlantic integration path. I also put the emphasis on the need for Kosovo citizens to have access to the instruments of this institution, especially about the human rights issue”, he said.
