Svechla asks the Prosecutor for the results of the Banjska investigation: We have enough evidence for the investigation to be closed at this stage.

Interior Minister Xhelal Svecla has asked the State Prosecutor to publish the results of the investigation over the September 24th terrorist attack in Banjska.

According to Svechla, there is enough evidence for the investigation to be completed at this stage.

Kosovo's “Police have undertaken the largest investigations in its history, in Banjska's case, in the terrorist attack on the village of Bansjka. This has lasted, but I believe we have enough evidence for the investigation to be completed at this stage. I expect the prosecution, along with the Kosovo Police, to come up with the results of those investigations”, has declared Svechla for RTV Dukagini.

Publicising the results of the investigation and raising the indictment in this case has also called for Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

“There is no information from the Government of Kosovo, of institutions related to the terrorist attack on Banjska, there is no being given to the State Prosecutor. Today it has been three months since the order for the terrorist attack that killed the hero Africa Bulnjak. Three months when the order has gone down and this information is already in the prosecution. There are no number of facts and material evidence that are more than enough to file charges for the attack on Banjska. In general, last year was a year of barricades and paramilitary holes. This year was the year of terrorist and paramilitary attacks”, the prime minister has declared.

He has publicly voiced doubts about the work the prosecution is doing.

There's a huge dissonance between information, fact, testimony and arguments on one side and court proceedings on the other. As a result of people behind bars. It's a number of minos. Kurti's critics had been countered by Kosovo Special Prosecutor's Chief Prosecutor Blerim Isufaj, saying that it is not the prime minister's question when the charges were filed and when the investigations cease.

“It is no matter of setting up charges. It's a matter of justice system. We act out when we do the investigation, when we have evidence. No one can tell us when we have to file an indictment and when we have to stop investigating”, Isufaj said.

Otherwise, Kosovo police have been attacked by a terrorist group on September 24th in the village of Banjska in Zvecan. During the attack, the hero Africa Bulnjak remained.
