Interior Affairs Minister Xhelal Svecla said the appropriate and timely failure by the Prosecutor and the other “akters for the kidnapping of Kosovo police officers caused tensions in the country's north to reach the police attack on 24 September.
Svecla said to the parliamentary Commission for Security that “and terrorists, but Serbia itself would be much more reserved with attacks on Kosovo”, in the event this reaction does not delay.
Our “Vones, tolerance by someone else, have thrilled them to come to the Banjsca case. We can agree that it may not be the last time. Everything is expected of Serbia. It is very important that all necessary steps be taken as a provision for these terrorists to be brought to justice. We don't have much time. We have proof and success, but we don't have time to go to perfection, which no world security agency has ever had. If anyone wants, or has the will to free criminals, regardless of police evidence, we are then called to separate powers”, Svechla said.
The minister also talked about equipping police officers with long arms, which he said would have “all patrols”.
The “has been a little strange to me about how before all police officials have had a certificate for use of long arms. We have embarked on this process and all officials will also be trained for the use of long arms available to”, he said.
Svecla said the investigative process for Banjska is now in the hands of the Prosecution, and that he believes the prosecution will begin with the establishment of charges and come up with the final report on the attack.
A part of these evidence is public, part of which is in the hands of the prosecutor. I strongly believe that it is time for the Kosovo prosecution to begin with the establishment of charges or at least a final report. Since security is certainly linked to other segments of the work of institutions, and especially in diplomacy, it is appropriate that even our international partners officially be informed of what has happened to the attack in Banjska, but also with what has been discovered, as the purpose of this terrorist group and all other elements that have supported it, either financially or financially, whether with training and equipment this terrorist group that should already have aimed at annexing a northern part of Kosovo”, he said.
Svecla said there is sufficient evidence in the prosecutor and that police have made the identification of the “majority of participants” in the attack, their past and their engagement in other cases.
