Secretary - General NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, has mentioned the force's intervention in Kosovo during the war.
This case he described as one of the actions that NATO made the alliance safer in history, including fighting terrorism for the September 11 attack of the Twin Towers in the United States.
“NATO is the most important Alliance in history for two reasons: the first, why we were able to change when the world changed. For 40 years we've shut off the Soviet Union, and suddenly the Soviet Union was no longer”.
And then people said that NATO should be extinguished or out of its area, and we left the area and helped end the two brutal ethnic wars in the Balkans, in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Serbia or Kosovo. And then, after 9/11, NATO did something that no one had imagined, and it was to stand up to the front line and fight terrorism and help the US”, Stoltenberg said.
